| We love being outside and, of course, the occasional smoothie...

| It's been a very long time since I have updated on here. Much water has passed under the proverbial bridge. We spent four months in Romania where Nicoleta had her first birthday
and made lots of friends.
We stopped by the Eiffel Tower on our way home! I won't elaborate on our stay in Romania, because I wouldn't be able to touch even the tip of the iceberg. Suffice it to say that we enjoyed our time there very much, but it was also great to get back home.

| This being my first tag, I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to do, but I'm assuming I'm supposed to put five pictures of myself on here. I don't have a scanner, so my pictures only go back about three years. This is one I got taken for Dan when we were dating. I was in Romania at the time, so the easiest way to get it to him was to send a CD of several pictures to him and let him print them out. It seemed a little strange at the time, but I probably wouldn't have them now if I'd have done it another way. The day that we were taking wedding pictures (the day before the wedding), Dan was feeling a little hyperactive. The sun was shining through the leaves on the trees and mottling our faces, or a dead branch was ruining the background, so he kept jumping up on the fence and fixing the problem by hanging blankets to block the sun or breaking off the dead branch. One time he got poked right on the forehead by a branch, so he had a wound on his forehead for the rest of the pictures. Also, my caring for him in sickness began a day early...
We took a trip to Romania last year. This is with one of my friends from there.
This last spring we went to Belize. I got to enjoy red Fanta on ice in a bag. That was kind of different.
My first Mother's Day!

| I just had a few pictures I decided to post. The weather Saturday was perfect for a bike ride. Judging from all the people we met, we weren't the only ones who thought so. The bike trailer is a recent purchase, so that was another reason to go. Nicoleta loved the ride! She laughed and exclaimed to herself for a while until she decided to just sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. Yesterday she came up with another use for my laundry basket. Her version of a playhouse, I guess! | | |
| Thanks for all the support! The set comes from Romania. One of my friends gave it to me, knowing I would love it. It looks great in my coffee kitchen. Doing the cake was actually fun. I really wasn't sure how it would turn out, so I was actually shocked myself at the finished product. I started mixing the cake batter late morning and finished decorating after supper. I had breaks in there, so it wasn't too bad. | | |
